As the building is located in a privileged area, with an unobstructed view of the landscape, it was decided not to distort the architectural landscape of the place, as well as to respect the natural metabolism with regard to fluidity and architectural impact. The housing's geometries are organized to create varied light fronts, prioritizing the visual reach of the Douro River and privacy from the adjacent streets. The program is developed in a hierarchical and functional manner on the land, moving the privacy of the house away from the street and offering the region's characteristic landscape to the interior of the house; visually extending the interior spaces to the exterior.
